I'm trying to build a really small residential area, really maximize the #landvalue, and I am struggling to figure out how to connect close together houses with paths.

Despite placing the residential right next to each other on the grid, they don't connect via walking path, and I don't know how to connect them to my network of footpaths, so I have this situation where I'm playing the tutorial, I have rows of residentials, but only the houses at the end of a street are connected to the road network, despite there being a footpath right in front of every other house, and said houses existing not even inches from the house that is connected.
