An immodest proposal on how to give the most replay value to IE
Imagine if every faction didn't just limit themselves to conquering every town and village on the map. Imagine if the landmarks such as the Maw or the Great Bastion or the great Vortex would fall under the conquering faction's personnal designs...
Would the Chaos Dwarves divert the flow of the river Ruin in order to kill the Maw? Would they transform the Great Bastion into the Obsidian Gates of Hashut? What would N'Kari's faction do if they ever got a hold of the Great Vortex? What devious plans would necromancers ever commit if they managed to reach the tomb of one famous person or another? Would the Empire consider sealing Black Fire Pass to avoid the spread of some threat coming from the south? Would the dwarves build a mining colony in the former ruins of the sky titans?

This suggestion for a mod has been kicking around my head for quite some time, now. It would make the conquest of the world a more engaging experience, one that could bring games into turn 400 and beyond.

With every landmark comes a series of battles that get triggered the moment the faction engages with the landmark, risking being overwhelmed by spawned armies if it fails but potetially unlocking huge bonuses if it succeeds.

I'm not sure if this is even doable, I just had the idea in my head and wanted to share with you. If you're interested in this idea, or know a way to improve it further, please let me know....
