need to know how to make a train simulator classic 2024 shortcut for my desktop

Go to the drive your TSC is on, usually /C, then programfilesx86, Steam, Steamapps, Common, Railworks.
Then scroll down page to find 'Railworks64.exe' and right click. Select 'More Options' then "Create desktop icon".

If you want to run in .32bit then select "Railworksexe"

after i posted the question i found it by accident. thanks. i have another question. for some reason i can't get the academy to work. i though maybe it was missing the files or got shut off. this one i probably won't find so easy. can you help me ?

Give this a try.
Close TSC.
On Steam page right click TSC in your games list.
Then select "Properties" and DLC on next page.
Type 'Academy' in search box at top of next page.

If the 'Installed' box is un-ticked, tick it & let Steam do its thing.
If it is ticked then un-tick it.
Close & reopen Steam and repeat as above re-ticking the install box.
Let Steam do its thing then open TSC and try again.
