DMCA filings are too easy, Steam needs to revise its current rules。
Or steam server just under DDOS

DMCA is not a steam thing, it's a legal thing. Unless you want valve to start running political campaigns, there is little they can change.

Also it hit a bunch of other mods.

I'm seeing more and more critical comments on mods "dependent" on hugslib. whats going on there did they do something recently?
I just saw this on Hugslib and I'm like, "how do you DMCA a RimWorld mod framework"?

You can send a DMCA takedown notice for *anything* if you believe it was your stolen intellectual property and the platform generally has to comply with it in 24 hours, unless they themselves already can tell it's in bad faith, ie. bad actors. This works for text, audio, video, images etc. I can go to Rimworld's store page and say "Hey, this paragraph that was written as their sales pitch was copied off my website and now it was used without permission" and the page would need to remove that paragraph or they would have to file a DMCA counter notice that basically says "Hey, we don't care, sue us then". Filing a takedown- and counter-notice is generally a thing takes 5 minutes, so it's not really time consuming. DMCA is generally a process where companies can't leverage power or money to get what they want, despite what youtubers tell you while crying about it. A counter notice, if you believe you do not infringe any rights, will reinstate your content within 24 hours by Valve or any other platform without questions being asked or the claim being verified, because at that point the platform just shrugs its shoulders and says "we can't do anything about it, go sue the content holder if you feel like it". That's where the real problem is. If you do nothing, the content gets removed and the troll wins. If you file a counter notice, the content gets reinstated, but the troll gets the information you've entered in your counter notice and very likely still wins because it's you've most likely entered real information related to your person.

我相信這次惡意舉報已經引起Steam官方的注意了,請保持冷靜等待Steam做出的回應。

I believe this malicious report has attracted the attention of Steam officials. Please remain calm and wait for Steam's response.

Apparently from the rumours, some HOi4 modders found out how easy it is to do this and just...spray it out everywhere. It hit many games and mods.
Blame the US, it's their legal system that requires this ♥♥♥♥ to be so easy to file. Honestly the internet in general would be a better place if the US didn't have any power over it.

Also Germany and Japan shouldn't ever have power over the internet as well and they currently don't but those are the only other countries I know of with equally retarded copyright laws as the US
