So all you need to retexture ships are two http://programs.GM Viewer,you should find easely on google or in the PiratesAhoy site.And InfarnView

You will need GM Viewer and GM Animation mostly just to see what models you search for
In Gm Viewer you can see the ship's hull with textures and in Gm Animation you can see the characters models
You will have to use the TX Convertor in the Games Textures folder to convert texture files so you can edit them with infran.
Then is just a matter of finding the right colors or textures from other ships and copy-paste them to your ship
