⚠️ How I Almost Got Scammed on Steam — and How You Can Avoid It
Hey everyone, I want to share my recent experience to help you avoid the scam I faced on Steam.

What happened:
I got a message from a player accusing me of stealing a rare knife skin in CS2. They even showed me screenshots and said they reported me to Steam Support. I got really worried and checked my purchase history—no sign of anything wrong.

Then they gave me a Discord contact for a “Steam Support Agent.” This person asked for my login info and even requested a $100 Steam Wallet code to “fix” my account. Luckily, I refused because I knew this was fishy.

After that, my Steam account got hacked and passwords changed. I immediately contacted official Steam Support through their website (not Discord), showed them screenshots of my chats, and they helped me recover my account.

What I Learned and Want You to Know:
Steam will NEVER ask for your password or Steam Wallet codes outside their official site.

Be very careful with anyone contacting you on Discord or other platforms claiming to be Steam Support.

Always take screenshots of any suspicious chats or messages. They’re your proof.

If your account is compromised, contact official Steam Support immediately.

Don’t panic or give in to pressure — scammers rely on fear and urgency.

A Small Tip That Can Save You Big Trouble:
Keep evidence of everything! Screenshots, emails, chat logs — they help prove your case if something goes wrong.

I’m sharing this because I don’t want anyone else to lose their account or money like I almost did. Stay safe, gamers!
