Just wondering if there any mods, or if anyone can make a mod, that does the aforementioned?

Being able to have the gas lantern or candles for that matter, as a placeable and functioning light source would be really helpful when out on loot runs, building a campsite, etc. after the power goes out. Seems like something that really should be vanilla, especially with the lantern. I know they function when equipped but I suppose as a bit more of a RP/aesthetics kind of thing, being able to place one down while holed up somewhere making camp just makes sense to me.
