Medium Or Large Ships for Heroes?
Chapter 2: Bonus Round!
I'm probably not going to put a lot of effort into this attempt, but I still wanted to see if there were a way to like, for example, do "TerranCarrier00" (or whatever the vanilla ship name for such factions to be) to make the hero ship aside from "ShipDesignHeroSmall01Attacker" or similar. Why no "Medium" or "Large" one?

Last time I tried to change that one variable under HeroDefinitions.xml which has "ShipDesign", that supposedly points to the exact ship model, so before I can even attempt to mod heroes like this, how can I find the names of the different ships AS THE CODE references it?
Next, even when I have that, and I just inject the ship's programming/code name into that particular variable command, my first attempt had the game fail to generate a new map. How do I figure out what went wrong with that?

To answer my own question, I stumbled upon the answer by just a bit of fumbling thanks to that thing about the frame-of-reference.

<ShipDesign Name="Terrans_LargeCarrier" />

This is the line that's needed in the appropriate HeroDefinitions.xml line.

You're welcome, self, and thanks for vaguely pointing me in the right direction. It's beautiful to see a hero rocking a carrier, even though it's prohibitively expensive to deploy on Turn 1, but that's OK. ^^
