Builders and Devs, make the Aliens count!
Hey there bros, like many I'm sure I've been here supporting BroForce from day 1.
Regrettably though, real life takes a lot of time away from my vidya now. As much as I'd love to sit with the level editor, I just have too many other things going on.

Which is a shame. Because I'm a huge fan of the Aliens franchise, and I'm ecstatic to see what comes out from the devs and the community. Even then it's obvious that this doesn't draw solely from Aliens, but from the Contra series as well (which also drew from Aliens, so I guess there's sort of a cool xeno feedback loop there).

In any case, to the point: take idea from ground that's already been covered, and elevate it further. The specific example which comes to mind: Contra: The Hard Corps. This game had some great concepts for creatures, as well as the alien lair/den. Even over 15 years from the first time I played it, the way they handled aliens in that game still sticks out in my mind.

Not only that, but a great ambience greated by its music as well
This was for the stage where the alien cell breaks loose and begins contaminating the villain's entire HQ, mutating his soldiers into grotesque abominations which will devour you and other creatures, lining the walls with pulsating mucous-covered carapace, and in essence spawning its own biome within the facility (almost similar to the movie Evolution).

Anyways, I look forward to the development to come, and hope all you builders out there take the opportunity to make the alien stages feel as unsettling as possible!

My only other qualm so far would be that the aliens in this game are laughably easy to fight.
They should be full-on sprinting, and leaping twice the distance of the huggers.
They're supposed to be very difficult to combat. Acid death from blood-spray of killing them should be present.
