I was thinking about that to. =D
The only way that makes sense to me is if you used Attachments.

You couldn't make it act or look any good with only 5 jigglebones and 512^2 texel textures, unfortunately.

Well if jiggle bones are an issue maybe a slightly altered version with hard armor sections on it or something. I'm not too well versed in modding or modelling for this game though so that might be a bogus idea.
