Workshop Jams?

I'm curious to know if there are some Steam Collections, some curating groups that could form in the future for game jams within the Steam Workshop for the various tools(And non-game jams)? I'm curious since this is the first time in over a year I've been knee deep in the Steam Community, and I love game jams! I thought it would be fun for people who are new and familliar while using the convience of Steam Workshop! I'm not new to game design but I'm not Leonardo either.

That sounds like fun. I'd be up for joining one of those. I could also donate some random stuff in my inventory to be prizes.

Yeah, I just wish there was a way to form that type of group.

Well we could just create a steam group and use a strawpoll or something to choose the winner.

I might actually try to set this up and see if it goes anywhere. This could be fun!

Y'know for incentive, we could donate some of our inventory items; like trading cards, TF2 hats, and maybe any extra game we have for a larger jam(I have two games I don't need).

Alright I might create a group for it and see if we can get this to actually be a thing. Do you think the group should be dedicated to game jams specificly or be simply gamemaker focused and do game jams as well as other stuff (such as promotion of games made using gm:s)?

I think Game Maker game jams should be the main focus because it's the only free engine worth using(It has more features than other engines). Most jams should require Game Maker so we can have more beginners feel encouraged, and it runs well on low end PC's.
