Even the Encrypted Games can be easily Cracked with Hack Software.
And the Music Files are Never Encrypted in most Engines aswell RPG Maker.
That means everyone can get your Music not only in Workshop.
But if someone does without the Licensess from you he can get in trouble.
Not even AAA Companies get there Games Safe (Sonic,Mario,Zelda and more). In rpg Maker the difference is even
Cheat Kiddies can do it.
But Artists mostly know better about all that stuff than me the little Hobbyist RPG Maker User.
Did someone stole your Stuff and republished it ?
Edit: Workshop Manual says: Game Encryption isnt Working in the Workshop, but you can Mark your Games, so others will know if they maybe could use stuff from that project or not.
Audio isn't encrypted with the game as far as I can remember. People will and can take resources they find interesting or useful, but as the owner of these items, you can always request a user stops using your resources as you've given no explicit permission for them to be using your content. Personally, I wouldn't worry about this kind of stuff unless their project actually sees the light of day.
Just my two cents.
The More You Knowミ☆
Luckily I managed to pull the game out of the Workshop before it was noticed. I'm trying to avoid as many people as possible using the scripts I worked so hard to make personal, that's why I release "lite" versions of all the stuff I make. The Kingdom Hearts Title Script is an exception though; I just made that for the fun of it. xD
Either way, I ask of everyone to credit the scripts I give them at least.
In all honesty, who would take any notice of the "Do Not Steal" sign, especially when you mentioned this?:
Ah well, the best I can do for now is share it via RPGMaker.net. xD
Exactly this. :3 All of the audio is stored in the game's folder under "[GameFolder]\Audio", even when encrypted. I'm guessing Enterbrain had difficulties with adding Audio access with the compressed folder?
Again, who would take notice of C&Ds unless you send them a harsh letter? (*cough*SquareEnix*cough*)
But yeah, not everyone has time to look at all the game projects in the workshop, let alone the sanity. Half the games are just crazy and make no sense. xD
I think the reality of things is that people wil use your stuff if they like it. Especially people who aren't going to release for $$$
That is why i asumed its also possible in Ace.
Ace games can be very easily decrypted. I won't share the tools for that but it is simple to do.
"How did they pull off hiding the 'player character' during battle but have the rest of the party in battle?"
"Oh! I have been trying to get my event to do that for ages, how did they do it?"
"Do they use a script or an event to pull off that craft/skill set?"
