Makng more than maps
I love Dino-horde or Prelude... but I want there to be MORE! More weapons, maps, enemies, classes, vehicles, perks, utilities and even grenades!

I'd love to make them myself... but lack the essential skill in coding to try

Classes:
Scout. Special ability is to run real ecking fast. Adrenaline weapons would be silenced and either trap-based (proxy-mine launcher) or can be used to mele

attack for higher damage (like the blade, but dual wielding or even the cryo blade)
low health, low shield to make the player use the speed and hit-and-run attacks
The perks they'd be able to access would be to do with increasing mele damage while sprinting or being able to damage enemies by running into them

Sniper (not going to win prizes for naming so i'm not gonna try) special ability would be to create a temporary dead-zone around them to stop anything

approaching, or some kind of shield they can shoot out of?
adrenaline weapon would be long-range sniper weapon with appauling ROF but epic damage (possibly target penetration like the recon's lazer rifle) and a short

range weapon like a piston with a massive clip or scope?
they'd not be that impressive shield wise, but covering them would earn a team an excellent long-range supporter, or excellent dino-stoppage
the perks they'd use would increase damage the further away the player is from the target, or by how many bullets are left in the clip (EG, last bullet does

200 more damage?)

Android. much larger shield but very little health. Special ability would expend the entire remaining shield in a large area of effect attack. Adrenaine

weapons would be energy based, fast firing and probably not all that accurate. Or slower firing and iron-sight?
they'd be better used as short-range fighters to utilise the shield and special... as such, the adrenaline weapon should not be that good for sniping
the perks would add a stun to the shockwave blast, perhaps extend it upwards?

Tank (yeah, i know, no clever names) they'd have loads and loads of health, but not much shield. The woverine augment would help a lot, or having a heal-gun on

the team. Special ability would be an actual shield they can use to reduce damage at the cost of walk speed and equipable weapon (sidearm only to be used,

possibly reduced view as well?). Adrenaline weapons woud be SMG's or some kind of high caliber pistol / sawn-off that could be used with the shield
The player would be used as a damage sponge. Excellent for front-line assault.
the perks to this would probably increase the durability of the shield/energy consumption, perhaps add an electrical defense that damages mele attackers?

Technical. Not so much for front lines as complete support and back-up. With balanced health and armour, their special would be some kind of mine, or a

supporting device that can be used on other players (like increasing their armour when in range of a beacon etc). their adrenaline weapons would be support,

indirect attack weapons like mines, slowing beacons or even area-of-effect damaging posts that have a durability of their own?

Weapons:
Sidearms:
Electric pistol. Very little damage, but stuns the enemy similar to the stasis effect of the healing gun. It would last a few seconds on regular enemies, but

less on the larger dinos

Cutting torch. Very low range, but constant damage. A large clip and slow reload, but would be able to repair vehicles as a bonus.

Burst-fire pistol that does decent damage, but like the automatic, suffers a small clip.

Single-shot big-damage weapon that has a small scope for early-game sniping (or near-death 'everyone ran away when i died' second winds)

Secondary:
Sawn-off shotgun. Big damage, no clip. Simple enough

Bolt-thrower. Some kind of heavy slug firing weapon, but not much maximum ammo meaning it does not work well as a primary. Should not be used for long-range to

balance the high damage output and ensure it's lower rate of fire doesn't let the weapon get too powerful. (i know the perk will include this, so low ammo)

Claymore mines
C4 (future equivilent)
Proxy-mines (i want to cover a vehicle in them, then bail!)

Primaries:
err... no, got nothing. I love the ones they have and would only be suggesting more of the same.

Utilities:
some kind of deployable cover that could block attacks (i don't do PVP so i'm reaching there) and block enemy movement. They'd need to have health similar to

vehicles so they can be destroyed by enemies and repaired by players.

mannable turrets that can be placed, come with their own ammo, and allow for stationary defence positions. Taking damage and repairing like vehicles.
Cannon. Dual machinegun. Rocket launcher. Lazers. Whatever you thing will make the prettiest boom

limpet-mine launcher, requiring detonation or time-based. Something that would allow the pinning of grenades rapidly. The Trek longbow has a small-scale

version, but a mine-launcher would be useful to disperse crowds and stun several enemies (good adrenaline weapon for the technical?)

Teleport / grapple gun. Something that allows you to target an area, then reel yourself in. This would be good for escaping a swarm, reaching far-off locations

or getting a camping spot when you can't fly or suck at power-jumping

Decoy post. Holographic enemy that would draw dinos, perhaps confuse an enemy playable cahracter?

defence/offence posts? an area-of-effect zone that increases damage, reload, defence, energy recharge, shield recharge, health regeneration or even ammo.

Whichever. Maybe all at once? change fire-mode to cycle placement type? long recharge between?

AA turret. A turret that's on a post. Can't attack the ground units (perhaps big dinos?) but is good against those darned flappin ******* that are such a git

to hit when they're the last enemy

Homing weapons. Some kind of lock-on heat-seeker that would take time to target, but then allow for a single explosive shot, or consecutive machinegun fire?

Targeter beacon for turrets or stationary weapons like mortars or lazers? you put down a turret that won't do a thing on it's own, then use your secondary

weapon/adrenaline weapon to target it. On their own, neither works obviously

alternate to the longbow, a crossbow. Something that IS silent and won't distrupt cloak, but always fires explosive rounds. long reload between shots, scope

and limited ammo. 30 or so rounds? something pretty small.

Grenades:
Gas grenade. Does slow damage in an area but does nothing for disuasion like the smoke grenade

Cluster grenade. explodes into small other grenades that spread over an area. bad for one enemy, but does a decent ammount to several enemies

'sticky' grenade. (everyone who plays halo just perked up) something that attaches to an enemy or surface before exploding after a time. Would be great against

a Spinosaurus!

Magnet / slowing grenade. What? it slows stuff down or stops them. kind of self-explanatory

Incendiary grenade. Ignite enemies in an area, much like the flame-thrower but without the adrenaline-weapon limitation

Plasma grenade. Larger damage but a smaller area than the frag.

all the mines, set-devices and proximity variants under the sun of course...

Vehicles:
Heavy Truck: something with a large cannon on it that fires grenades, but has room for two troops in the back to offer rear support. One driver, one gunner,

two passengers.
Low top speed, not that impressive boost, but good for getting your team somewhere and with enough health to not get them all dead in the process

Transport Vehicle: Faster than the average vehicle, lower health but with seats for maximum players. Possible to get your team anywhere on the map quickly. No

guns on it so that it isn't a defensive option, but good for rescues and transport.

flying vehicle 1 (do i win awards for these names yet?): a fast-to-land, quick-to-fire vehicle with low health and lots of machinegun ammo. Possibly a close-

range weapon like mounted shotguns to put the player's skill flying to the test.
I can see this little one-man personal chopper flying around a T-rex to distract it as other players lay on the damage. Perhaps gunning down the Raam?

Flying Vehicle 2 (bomber): as it sounds. a VTOL that can only fire when not in landing mode. Room for two/3 gunners and a pilot that controlls the flight and

bombs. (possibly a bomber, but i know this vehicle would be useless if you could only fly as the pilot)
Gunners have machine guns (maybe grenades too?) but are limited in their angle of fire. If there's 2 gunners, they can only aim 180 degrees off the main body,

if there's 3, then they can only aim down in a 90 degree angle, with a third only able to aim up from the main body. bombs drop straight down on enemies.

perhaps something like a downward aiming gattling gun? nothing accurate. This would be a team-vehicle.
Decent health, low flight speed and good enouhg damage. not enough maneuverability that you can dodge all attacks, but teamwork would make it formidible

Flying Vehicle 3 (jet): Very low health and with room to carry a passenger gunner, this would be best as a transport vehicle or a hit-and run. Very fast when

moving, but perhaps accurate with a gunner shooting? some kind of trade-off. It would be best with perhaps an assault gunner, you fly in, expend ammo, then

they jump out, glide down and continue to reak havoc as you bail out a low-health teammate

War-walker. BIIIIG MECH! Something that the pilot can't gun, but has lots of seats and guns for other players. Flamethrowers, rockets, mortar-grenades, cannons

(big shell, not much boom) and machineguns. a huge vehicle that would need a team to work properly.

Perks:
increase max ammo held. perhaps 50% more?

bigger zoom in when using scopes / ironsights

increased damage with explosives / fire. Something other than bullets, but not common enough to be used all the time

increase boost when driving vehicles

faster shield regen

increased damage depending on distance to / from target (could make snipers rule, or shotgunners drool)

increase mele speed

deal more damage when you have no shield / increase energy

energy regenerates faster nearer the generator

killing enemies gives you energy

standing still, deal more damage / accuracy increase / reload speed / shield regeneration

reload faster while running

sprint faster

use engergy to sprint super-fast? (kind of like the scout's special i guess)

charge your melee for more damage

killing an enemy regenerates your shielf / reloads your clip (imagine that with a minigun... mmmmh... ok, maybe a little over-powered)

batter critical damage

increase damage to enemies but disable criticals

double-damage, half max ammo. (like firing two shots at once)

trade-off perks / skills. Would only be able to have one at a time.
increase ROF, decrease accuracy. And. Decrease ROF, increase accuracy

increase damage, reduce accuracy (and opposite, of course)

increase damage and accuracy, slower reload and rof

Increase damage, rate of fire. Reduce shield (Glass hammer)

No specific ideas:
some kind of charging weapon. Either rifle or shotgun where the damage depends on the charge. hold, charge for up to four seconds and release... rifle would

require accuracy, but shotgun requires not being swarmed

some kind of anchor weapon that attaches an enemy to something? it would obviously be time-based, or damage based. a compy would never get out, a T rex would

get out in five seconds. Grenade, bow, special? can't decide.

Crikey... youre still reading? I'm impressed. I didn't expect anyone to still be paying attention haha!
I'm posting this to the workshop and the game forum. Who knows, may see some of these appearing?
(subtle hint. I'd gladly pay to play some of these features. Premium classes for example?)

How about this:
THE MEGA HELI
A helicopter twice the size of the normal one, has 2 machine guns and a rocket launcher, AND a grenade launcher.
Can carry up to 6 more players, and the passengers can fire out the openings in FIRST PERSON! What do you think?

12 machine guns? sounds a lill ott? and 6 players? damn... the games I play only have five! haha!
would certainly beat me sitting on the roof of a VTOL with a sniper-rifle i guess

A bigger chopper would be cool, but it would need some kind of limit to stop one utility gun, three rocket launchers and driver from just sitting a round out in the upper stratosphere XD

how about a hovercraft? something with seats for all players and MMGs

Looking at what both of you (Xane Tempest, and The D0ngening) have said, and I know this is a very later message to this post, how about a 3 seater heli, driver/pilot (who can fire rockets), co-pilot (fires front minigun/turrent at a 90 degree angle forwards) and a passenger (Can fire a minigun/turret from the back of the heli at a 90 degree angle)? Heli size could be a bit bigger than current heli, but not massively large.

I'd say a wider arc for the gunners... nearer to 180. sticking out the sides, underneath the 'wings' of the heli blades? (I picture this to be the cargo-carrying type) and a space on the back big enough for a jeep?
Perhaps even swap the pilot's missiles out for a hook that could pick up other players' vehicles? or p!ss off a T-rex ;)

the top would have to be inhospitable enough to mean that other players can't just sit on top, but nothing to say you can't have them sat inside on the 'foot plate' as it were. I'd love to run a few sweeps (as the pilot) gunning down the bigger beasties in a domination match, then my two gunners get into a jeep and I bring them close enough to the ground for them to drive out!
I part up, snipe some targets, we take the base, i come down and pick up the jeep... only now I have to haul a walker back with me! slower going, but we get them all back and the guy with the utility gun has fixed up all three vehicles in-air!

I think your idea is probably better, especially where you mentioned about the heli being able to transport a jeep (and smaller vehicles, but not at same time), as that would create a better bond in teamwork and in getting to places quicker.

I'm a sucker for team-work! the idea of being able to litterally 'pick up and drop off' a whole team into and out of combat? it would be awesome!
Sadly... I fear that Prelude is 'done' now Trek are focussing on newer things :(
