How I feel about the workshop now
IT.... just doesn't feel creative.
"But Pro, it has tons of creative things!" Well you may be right at a point but the workshop now imo a place reserved for Venturian and COD kids trying to be "mlg" or something that is gold and has money floating around it.

I always expected the workshop to have creative designs, but.... It didn't meet up to my expectations, in fact, just makes me disgusted at the filth here.

Whats your opinion?

You do have a point.

Oh my goodness, I have seriously been feeling the same way! I always use the object editor as a place to make things that I like that aren't in the game. So, I always put a lot of effort into making my creations. What's the point of putting my favourite characters into the game if they're ugly-looking?
Then, as I browse the workshop, I see characters that are kind of terrible-looking. Changing the colours of an item in the game and adding some scripting does not make it a totally new thing worth putting up online. It's ok to make stupid messed-up stuff for your own use, but don't put that stuff up for everyone with a steam account to see!
My other thought is that there are too many of some items. My motto is, "If I make an item but someone else has done the same and it's better, it doesn't go online." My logic is that someone who wants to subscribe to this thing won't want two, and they'll obviously take the better one. Of course, most others do not abide by this. This is why we see droves of terrible Freddy Fazbears, and only about three or four that are actually kind of decent. But, to get to those ones, you have to work your way through the maze of aforementioned terrible Freddies. (I don't play FNAF and wouldn't subscribe to any of them because of that, but it proves my point.)
Sorry I wrote so much. This is a very concerning issue for me in the Steam world, and am glad to see that others feel the same way.
And if anyone takes offense to this, I am sorry. It's not that I hate sub-par items, they just annoy me a little. Please don't get mad; I just wanted to blow off some Steam. :)

I agree, and I remember those stupid times (specifically the one I'm about to mention) like when the Mobile Toilet was the most popular thing on the Workshop, and everyone was like, "OH MY GOD!!!! THIS IS THE BEST INVENTION EVER!!!!" My unvoiced response, "Really guys...? Are you THAT retarded?"

I went a little crazy before. I don't mind if people just like to be silly and creative, that's awesome if you do that, but I always thought that kind of stuff doesn't need to be uploaded. If you make something for your own enjoyment, that's all it is. For your OWN enjoyment. Other people don't need/want to see not-very-good stuff people made just for the sake of weirdness.
A while ago, as you can see in my workshop, I did an experiment, creating a typical workshop messed-up item, and it got more subscriptions than anything I had made before, including a pretty awesome Family Guy collection I made before accidentally deleting my file.

This doesn't go with the topic, but if you want to know, just go to the Scribblenauts community workshop, click "browse", then "collections", which takes you to the collections page; then there should be a button that says "Create Collection". Hope I explained that properly! :)

Thanks, it's quite silly to see that someone came to a rant post to say how to do something. It's a weird world out there.
