Building a windmill

Started dipping my toe in this excellent game recently and am anxious to expand my skills but I haven't been able to get a windmill up and running. I would like to learn this one basic task to enable me to run a variety of machinery. Hope to hear from you.

Well firstoffall there are some guides for it who have pics to better explain it,
but its easy build a building for it like a normal tower or something. Then add a Rotor wherever you want it, but keep in mind that it needs to be high enough. Than add 2 full lenght timbers for evry windmill wing. On these timbers you attach your windmill blades, after you have done that and youre happy with it go to the middle of the rotor there should be a marker or something press t so the rotor starts.
