Custom built mod not showing up in Mod list
I'm new to modding, and was following some tutorials on youtube to give me the basics, but the mod I created is not showing up in the Mods list in game. The mods I've downloaded from Steam are, but not the one I created myself.

- I used Modbuddy to create a mod that added a building to the game.
- Set the correct path in Modbuddy - Tools - Options - Beyond Earth
- set the correct actions in the mod (update databse, etc...)
- Verified that the folder for the custom mod was created in the Beyond Earth\Mods directory
- Restarted the game

After doing that, the mod still doesn't show up. Am I missing something?

Sounds like you have not actually built the mod. To do so, press the little "play" button in the top bar (or use F5).

Thanks for responding!

I forgot to mention that I had built the project. Ended up giving me some trouble at first, because the paths weren't set right, but I corrected that and did a rebuild and got no errors the 2nd time. (I'm fairly experienced with visual studio, and this works fundamentally the same way)

Currently, I'm putting these in C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth\Mods

Is there a different directory?

Yes. The mods directory is under your home directory.

I've also tried setting the path to C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization Beyond Earth with the same results...nothing showing up in the game.

Is that what you meant by under my home directory? (Windows user)

Ah, got it. I was looking at the BE directories under Program Files and under User\Appdata...it was in User\MyDocuments...

Thanks everyone!
