Can we mod the ability to fly all ships into game?

I would like to know if people could mod in being able to fly other ships as well.

That would be an AWESOME mod, because the Skunk gets really boring. I think being the captain of a capital ship would be epic.

Hopefully we get an answer soon, eh? Or maybe Egosoft will hear our pleas and release another super-major update like 3.0?

The bridge mod only shows the bridge when you get on it. It doesn't make you the legitimate captain. I mean actually piloting the thing.

Captains don't pilot ships, helmsmen and ruddermen pilot ships.
Captains coordinate crew and do decitions...

(only when talking about small vessels - for example Corvettes are piloted by their captain, I think)
