I had an idea for a mod wherein one could upgrade one's multitool.

Wire Purge - 15 Resin - Instantly reveals an entire connection wall puzzle for a few seconds (not solving it)

Manhack Hack - 20 Resin - Holding your multitool out near a manhack and holding the trigger would hack it for a short time and make it attack enemies before exploding (Like in HL2:E2).

Electro-Shock - 25 Resin - Short range attack that stuns enemies and deals damage (Can be recharged at combine energy stations or have a re-loadable battery)?

Grenade Prime - 30 Resin - Kinda like Manhack Hack, but it will reprogram grenades to be either Impact, Shock, or Sticky.

Does anyone know where I can get started on the right path with this? My only experience with modding is a heavy knowledge of the hammer editor, not LUA scripting. Suggestions and advice are appreciated. :)
