Basic move instructions for actors/npc? Where are they?!
All I want to do is get an NPC to walk away from the player, moving from where the player is standing to a spot less than 3 meters away... literally the other side of the room. =/

You can see what I'm trying here...

I suspect that it's your trigger condition. Instead of using "When the game enters Freemove mode", try "When a map is loaded and initialized" (On Map Start). Also, you might want to add "End current team round" to the end of the "Do" list; this will give your NPC a turn to move.

Turns out that I had to actually set a patrol path to get him to move, set up a region to get him to stop and make a speech bubble dialog instead of simply using the order move single actor to x, y, z coordinate. Still there really needs to be a more comprehensive guide written on simpler, commonly used functions and features. The videos left out enough to give me a migraine trying to figure it out.

Oh and I played through your saga in one sitting without even getting up for a glass of water, it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brilliant. You actually inspired me to try to make something with the editor in the first place! =D.

Awesome! I'm surprised that you had to use a speech bubble dialog, but glad to hear that fixed it.

I assume you've seen the wiki[shadowrun-returns.wikispaces.com]? It has some useful info, though I don't think there's anything in there about using move orders. Personally, I've had the most luck by looking at how HBS did things in the Dead Man's Switch or Dragonfall campaigns, and then following the same techniques in my own.

Happy to hear that you enjoyed playing the Saga! It was a lot of fun to make, hope you have a great experience with your own campaign as well!

Eh, I think my problem is less to do with the editor and more to do with my understanding of what I'm reading on the wiki. Some of the information on it isn't quite explained as thoroughly as I'd like but then again the only editor that I ever managed to pull of anything good with was the build engine used in Duke Nukem 3D. I actually found a module on Nexus called Shadowrun Returns Research and Development, it has working examples of a lot of stuff that I was struggling with.

Surprised this isn't plastered everywhere...

I'm trying to build a small bar crawl campaign set in Melbourne which will focus more on dialog and humour than combat to teach myself the ropes. Thanks again for the help and for the fan module, hopefully I'll make something worth playing.
