[Mod Request] Make perfectly preserved food have a positive freshness rate.
I would like it so that if a food item is in sterile atmosphere and a deep freeze. it would slowly turn more and more fresh and reach 100% freshness after a few weeks. The reason is the sheer impossibility for mechanical transportation to move food any distance without it being slightly less fresh, say at 90%, and that makes it not merge with stacks at 100% or 99% hauled by dupes. It is especially annoying due to grubfruit already struggling to merge due to its weight and uncookable nature without sucrose.
There are probably 2 ways to make it work:
1) add a status effect to all food of +1% freshness/cycle, or
2) modify the deep freeze freshness % per cycle from 0% to +1%.
I think the second one is probably easier, as it should just be changing one number from 0 to 1, right? I dunno how to mod stuff but I would accept pointers to how to get started making my own mod, i just have no idea how to get started.

Can't you just use the infinite storage trick (100% achievable via game mechanics and no mods) and be done with the issue entirely?
you could also use the ice box mod to sort all your storage issues if you don't care about "fudging" (no pun intended) :)
