I WANT MORE FROM THE WORKSHOP
I think the creation potencial in this game is huge. We should be able to share characters, doodads, itens and more. Even though it's already done outside steam, it would make our lives a lot easier and the game more enjoyable. WHOEVER IS WITH ME PLEASE COMMENT SO OUR DREAM COMES TRUE :greenslime:

I believe that hammerwatch does have huge potential for creationg/modding. You can have all sorts of custom doodads, items, and such. The problem is there aren't too many people who create stuff :/ . I wish I was more motivated, but I'm not in the mood during the summer heat nor the school years :(

Yeah, I know. I tried to mod once, but found it too complicated and not worth it. I guess being able to create more than map designs is the motivation we need.

Modding isn't too complicated from what it seems to me for hammerwatch. XML files seem quite simple compared to games I've seen (Arma) has a hell of a learning curve to mod that I didn't bother, but I had made missions there. You can use stock stuff for hammerwatch I guess. The time consuming part to me would be if you want to create your own monsters and such since good art takes time to draw the monsters and such from sprite. Argh, I should pick up the map I abandon and just make it a quick few level map, stick with the ghost I created and add nothing more and just make 0 extra lives and end it quick for a nice quick round. Maybe change up the first level and make a few duplicates of it with different things happening while connecting the random trigger to the changelevel stuff so it won't be the same playing the second time. Ahh, its possible while I'm testing out. Oh, I had an idea about just a giant map with quick dungeons to go through and bosses for the end (like mapworks for torchlight 2)... problem, adding too much might make the map file too large to be compiled. I guess it is doable to make 1 separate and single. Hmm, maybe with 0 extra lives might be nicer for pub so no one would have to worry about wasting lives, just balance enough to go through. I wish I'm more motivated, but having no one to play with anymore reduce my motivation, plus summer heat gives me headaches :( ...

sorry long post... just dreaming and experimenting and hypothesizing what's possible with hammerwatch. Ahh, so much potential.

I'd like a newly updated section on the workshop. As it is now, you can't see what mods have been updated without going into every single one and when you download a new update, I can't see anywhere what mod that update was for. I think that should be adressed as soon as possible.

Why are there just maps?
What about FLAMING SWORDS. New monsters, items chests crates Character classes and skill?
