Wanting to create a mod for more units, please post ideas
(note, these units are to be balanced around vanilla, not be OP as ****)

I personally feel that vanilla Civ BE is soooo dry on the combat because the units are all so bland, and there is so few of them. I want to spice it up a bit so that there are a lot more units, and for them to be significantly more interesting. Some of these units will be hybridized of two affinities, others will be all-access, and others will be mono-affinity. Example of a few of the ideas for units...

1. A Harmony/Purity hybrid support unit that leaves a trail of Miasma that disapates after a few turns, and can "shoot" this miasma onto a nearby tile. Can't directly damage other units and can't hurt cities, but could very easily help boost your units that benefit from the miasma, or hamper a non-harmony enemy's chase of you fleeing.

2. A Harmony or Supremacy "swarm" aircraft that damages all enemy units on nearby tiles from where it is stationed, but can't directly attack. Effectively helps defend a city against melee units, but can't hit units more than one tile away from the base, making it weak at defending vs ranged units.

3. Airship carrier that can carry any unit (and has a movement value of 3), but has very weak combat stats and can't directly fight (can carry aircraft units for self-defence/offense like the naval carrier).

4. Purity scout airship with weak combat stats, but can turn itself into a single hexgrid orbital like the Rocktopus to hide itself for an ambush/to escape attack, while providing a large vision range.

A navel unit that can shoot down satellites would be very usefull imo..right now now sats are uber over the water, actually i would love that ability for the tier 3 gunboat, instead of that stupid aircraft bay...

I give you ideas and you modify-improve or nerfe as you please. You can also give it the name you find more appropiated.

Sentry Gun improvement - Build a Sentry Gun in a hill tile removing any tile yield (like food, culture, energy or science) -2 energy maintenance and 1 negative health. But it works like a satelite with a rank of 2. The downside is that whenever is build, it will not produce anything to benefit the city. It could also have an option for "auto-fire" making it attack any alien unit within range.

Hybrid Tank - a range tank that when embarked can only attack water units and when in land can only attack land units. With 2 range and it obey the class movement depending where it is. For example when in water it benefit from naval movement bonuses, when in land it benefit from land unit movement bonuses. To make it more interesting or less over-power, it cannot attack cities.

Hybrid Ranger - a range unit capable of melee attacks. It can attack enemies cities, but its range is considerable short forcing it to get close to the enemy to attack. (Because i think is dumb that a range unit cant conquer cities, but i understand why its done that way.) It can have the half the strength of the marine units for melee and the same strength as the 1st range unit for range. In that way people would only use the melee option for conquering cities if its get down to it. Is not OP since it has to get close to a city to attack.

Land/water mines - place a mine in a tile that will activate whenever an enemy step on it, dealing damage equal to 20% of its health. (downside is that it can tigger wars if another nation step on it by mistake) since a mine cant be detected that easily.

Mine detector Unit - An explorer like unit capable of detect mines 3 tiles away from its location. Unable to attack enemy units, but it can deactivate (attack) the mines from far.

Berserker - a melee unit capable of auto-attack aliens. For those who focus on military virtue but hate having to move their units every turn to attack aliens. Downside is that once its set to auto attack, it cant be stop, so it will continue attacking until its die ignoring its health.

I would like to see a stronger, longer ranged aircraft. Perhaps a range of 10. I was a big fan of the stealth bomber if Civ V.
