I've recently picked up pearlcat and decided to instantly go for the OE ending, though through adventuring I realised that it isn't as easy? I reached the exact room where the game should end and it doesn't do anything so I just decided to go for the ascension ending

It's just my theory (a game theory) but my first pearlpup died and when I found a slugpup, it turned into the pearlpup. Do I have to do it with the original one and I just have skill issue?
