How to Update your Existing Workshop Uploads
So you've already published a mod, but something about it is just feels unfinished? Maybe a recent update broke it, or you just forgot to include a certain file? Well then this guide is for you!

Adding a Thumbnail:
First, you'll need an actual thumbnail image.

It must be a JPEG that's less than 1MB, and it must have the exact same name as your mod's folder. ("pozunyan skin.jpg", "Improved Spell Cooldown UI.jpg", etc.)

Once you've got that, save it in your 'Crypt of the NecroDancer/mods' folder (NOT inside 'mods/<yourmodname>'!)

Updating the Mod Itself:
Just add, edit, or remove any files inside your mods folder that you need to.
DO NOT rename the folder or you'll just upload a new mod instead of updating your current one!

Publishing the Changes:
When you're done editing your mod, launch the game and go into the mods menu. Then just go to Publish Mod and select the mod you have already published.

Once it's done, your current mod's page will have an update listed under the Change Notes tab. From here you can edit the description for the update, so that users who check it can find out what's different. (Please use this feature!!!)

If you added a thumbnail, it will take a little while for the frontpage of the workshop to update, so make sure to check your mod's page itself to verify that it was added successfully.

Hopefully this will help anyone who may or may not have been having trouble figuring any of this out.

Updates rarely work for me. Sometimes it chooses to add the new content, most of the time, not.

I do not have it downloaded_mods folder, so I'm definitely not uploading the same version that I have downloaded.

Hi Hunty! I'm a little unclear on your post - you don't have a downloaded_mods folder or you don't have your mod in the downloaded_mods folder?

I don't have my mod in the downloaded_mods folder, only in mods. This is so the game only has the one option of which mod to upload. All the contents of my mod make it into the zip folder that is created onced uploaded but it doesn't all make it into the workshop download.

Could you please start another thread about this error? I think other modders might not see your question here.
