how to use workshop items i know how to activate them but how to use them!?

Subscribe to them on the workshop and they will be automatically downloaded. Then run the Modded version of the game, and in that, they will be most likely already activated (though the game might still ask one more restart).

Um. What do you mean? They will be already activated. Character models will be in the character selection screen, campaign and survival maps will be at where those maps are, same with versus maps, etc.
