Vital factories that are missing
Hey Peter, I noticed that some factories are missing that are vital both in Industry and in the public space, which at the same time also recycle materials, such as:
1) Glass and mirror factory -> uses quartos sand, limestone, coal, glass scraps
It offers sheets of glass and mirrors
2) The food preservation factory that uses preservatives; glass; steel; synthetic rubber; chemical plastic.
Offers preservation containers (steel and glass cans; glass bottles and jars)
3) The factory of preservation materials uses -> chemicals, water, crops, oil, cans and packaging.
It offers substances and dusts for agro-food and industrial preservation
4) Glass and Thermopane factory -> uses synthetic rubber, plastic, glass sheets, chemicals for window frames, petroleum, bone glue
It offers double glazed windows for homes and the automotive industry...
5) Synthetic Rubber Factory -> uses coal; chemicals; oil, water; scrap rubber
It offers synthetic rubber
6) The tire factory -> uses synthetic rubber; wire; fabrics
Offers tires
7) The factory of wire chains and nails -> uses steel and coal
It offers wire chains and nails
8) The furniture and furniture factory -> uses logs, timber, nails, packaging; the water ; PFL bone glue; coal or petroleum chemicals
It offers furniture and pieces of furniture, window frames
9) Cardboard paper factory -> uses wood pulp or wood scraps and sawdust; water, coal; oil; limestone; crops; bone glue
It offers paper and cardboard
10) The packaging factory uses -> paper; cardboard; timber; plastic; wire, nails, rubber, bone glue
It offers PFL-> ( PFL=> boards from wood scraps and sawdust )

https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plac%C4%83_din_a%C8%99chii_de_lemn condemnation; packaging containers for packaging (editat)

11) Tool factory -> uses special steels and more materials from the factories mentioned above
12) Factory of space engines -> uses special steels (missiles); ships, trains; cars; medical engines
13) Detergent and soap factory -> uses glycerin, chemicals and perfume
It offers detergents and soap
14) Glycerine and bone glue factory -> uses animal bones, water; coal or petroleum chemicals; packaging and PFL
Offer bone glue and glycerin
15) The factory of dynamite and explosives -> uses chemicals, coal, glycerine, steel; packaging (PFL) wire; nails; platinum
It offers explosives and dynamite
16) The perfume factory -> uses bone glue; chemicals; glass; rubber; plastic; steel and packaging
Provides fragrance
17) The factory of special steels uses -> steel; nickel; chrome; titanium; vanadium; tungsten; coals; oil; chemicals; wire; water and packaging (PFL)
I offer special steels
18) Rare metals processing factory -> uses coal; oil; chemical gravel
Offers: nickel; chrome; titanium; vanadium; tungsten; gold; silver; platinum
19) Chocolate and sweets factory -> uses crops; water; packaging and oil
Offer chocolate and sweets. When will these missing factories be implemented?

Probably never in vanilla, but maybe someone will mod it in someday. While I think all of those sound neat, it would be a lot of development time going into features much of the community would not appreciate. Game already has plenty of complexity without being needlessly detailed in any specific industry

20) Tomato juice factory. Also very vital.

I agree that there are too few value chains on the consumer (or finished-product) side. I have argued for this in a number of threads before and would especially like to see toys, books, furniture, kitchenware, medicine.

This one point will certainly be fulfilled

Paper production chain and bureaucracy/mail/telecom mechanic would be interesting. All places with workers should consume paper to operate. What is soviet republic without bureaucracy anyway?

+1
I think a paper products industry chain would be super neato.
Maybe have a Wood > Paper Mill > Paper Products

If talking about industry chain missing, there is lack of copper chain.
For example copper ore mine (open or underground, both exists in real world), it produces copper ore and use lot of water for gangue flotation.
Copper smelter process copper ore into copper, use coal. Small amunts of copper can be used for mechanical components (brass bearings etc) but most importantly as input for copper processing plant.
Copper is electrolytically refined (using chemicals, waste byproduct) into copper wires.
Copper wires is used for production of electrical components, but also directly, instead of electrical components, for electrified railways/tram/trolley lines, MV lines, HV lines (also aluminium required) and underground lines (plastic required).

BTW, is industry moddable to such extent?

That's what i was wondering, i assume it's not since all the mods in the workshop are for goods that already exist, i wish it was moddable it would open up so much potential

Copper production chain is probably the best idea here because it can be integrated into existing industries.
