Modding questions (romance & starting location)
  1. Based on what I've read, I think I might find the romance mechanic as implemented in this game to be more of a tedious nuisance that detracts from gameplay rather than a strategic consideration that enhances it.

    If it isn't possible to optionally deselect romantic relationships as a game mechanic, then as a workaround is it possible to mod the game so that a gangster is in love with herself/himself, and thus avoids such entanglements with other gangsters? I.e., a Narcissus mod of sorts.

    I was looking at the descriptions of renogarfield's DontHateJustLove mods for the base game and Make It Count expansion (those two mods appear to remove the gangsters' predetermined enemies[eos.paradoxwikis.com]), which made me wonder if you could also mod the game to designate gangsters' lovers, and therefore possibly set a gangster to love herself/himself. I wouldn't want a gangster to receive a buff from this, although I would prefer that outcome over having to suffer gangsters' misbegotten love lives.

  2. While I can understand the appeal of starting a new game in a random neighborhood every time, is there a way to mod the game so that a boss always has the same starting neighborhood? E.g., always start Sai Wing Mock in Chinatown (granted, he shouldn't even be in the game, someone like Frank Moy or Chin Jack Lem should have been included instead), always start Daniel McKee Jackson in Near South Side, etc.
I'm still on the fence about buying this game (e.g., Expansion 2 situation), so I can't currently test these myself.
