God yes, do it. i am running it under Linux Mint 14 and it runs like a dream. One crash / corrupted save file issue only. And with a rolling save I didn't lose much. Well, well, well worth it. You can waste away and little things like trying to get players with similar personalities to your squad can make a huge difference.

great game, very addictive, be careful of your anger, cause it can get out of control when you blow a 2-0 lead in the last 10 minutes

I always start in the lowest division in England. At first, with FM14, I was doing rather badly. I couldn't understand. Then I began watching the full match (speeded up a little -- so, yeah, 40mins a match!) and learned so much about how this game rolls.

Halfway through first season and in the play-offs ATM compared to bottom of table.

I'm finding this the best version of FM. It's just important to understand how it works.

Get it!

It's always worth a buy

not even for a penny. If you are just semi-serious about football, you will be utterly disappointed.

The game is fantastic. I'd like to know what all the haters are comparing it to. This is easily the best and most addictive game in it's category.

GOOOD)
People who are just up for a simple "do as i say" footie match, it's not for them.
Though it feels you have less control than the previous version, it's also less predictable, which makes it more realistic to play. It's a lot harder to win matches if you fail to prepare you match properly.
The match engine is still far from realistic. Players doing moonwalks makes the pitch look as if it's a speedskating track. Players actually walk though one another as if ghosts, plus somehow emulation of gravity still proves to be a problem. It's appalling at times to see players make inhuman maneuvers, but at another point in the match, players cannot even seem to do the obvious.

i'd value it at 4 stars

Yes, i hadn't played for a couple of years and this is a lot smoother than some of the older versions and the new graphics for the actual games is a big improvment over the old dots moving around.

get it only if you know how to stop from raging.
