I almost completely agree. It would be amazing if they added a mod tool to make editing/adding sounds super easy. I have all these amazing mod weapons but they use the stock sounds and it gets very boring. For certain guns i wouldn't want them to sound different like the M16 which sounds pretty realistic but the typical rifle sound on every gun is annoying. Obviously AR style rifles are all going to sound very similar in reality. More sounds would be very welcome.
