The just need to realize to sell their old games cheap legally is better than got nothing.

because the thing is the original rom is not getting tweaked with the new files in the modded rom, it is actually replacing the rom with a different rom, meaning lets say you can make a mod which replaces sonic spinball for S2. Its simple and its everywhere, for some reason... (especially because SEGA delisted S1/2/3K and CD due to Origins)

If Nintendo or Disney ever comes there telling to stop this may be the end of the workshop.

but yeah I now agree with this, I am fine with pirating if there is no other way to access the game.

Sega has to pay money to license those third party games. There's a reason the collection is (and soon to be was) all first-party.
