1. the amount of work in recreating all Sectors from JA2
2. the entire different AI and ingame mechanics compared to JA3, would require rebuidling them by code, like for instance the Interrupt System from JA2
And then comes the bummer, there is no guarantee that it works in the first place and furthermore lot of ppl might no like it, b/c it changes from the original here and there.
Personally I would at least wanna redo Omerta and see where its going.
Aren't there a bunch of such mods, though? Have you had a look at the workshop? I think a few guys even bought the models for all kinds of IRL guns to make their weapon mods include tons of IRL brand weapons, no?
As for the initial question, It took Ja2 many years after the release of its source code to have something like 1.13 (early versions!). So expecting something like Ja3 1.13 mod (whereas the Ja3 source code is not public) within 1.5 years or so is - at best - unrealistic in my view.
I was also hoping for a JA 2 implementation here, but apparently no one is interested in it. Very unfortunate.
yeh the people replying aswell clearly never seen what the JA2 modding community produced..just NPC replys.
