Issues with Steam Workshop? READ HERE FIRST
Please only post a help thread when you've tried the following below, posting with your Steam Console information and Workshop Logs

How much space does my account have for Football Manager 2014, and how is this used up?

Steam currently allows1GB of Cloud space per user account.
FM & FMC Save Games are used in your cloud storage for Football Manager 2014.

You must have an active Internet connection to use the Cloud Save Settings.

How can I remove saves from my Cloud Storage?

On a computer that is fully synchronised with Steam Cloud saves for Football Manager, go to Load or Save game and select the 'Cloud' radio button.
Here will be listed all your saves on the cloud. Select a save game and then the 'delete' button to remove them from the cloud.

You must have an active Internet connection to use the Cloud Save Settings.

How Can I make sure my save game has completed to the Cloud?

When Saving the Game, select the 'Cloud' radio button. Save the game within this folder.

The Save Game will only be synced to the Cloud when you exit the game, so please only exit Steam when the save game has been fully synched to the Cloud,

If you try to exit the game before it's synched, a pop-up will remind you to wait until this is complete.

You must have an active Internet connection to use the Cloud Save Settings.

How Can I Load my Cloud Save Game on a New Computer?

On a new machine, make sure you are signed into the same Steam account as where your game was originally installed and you saved your save game to the Steam cloud.

Go to the Load Game and select the 'Cloud' radio button. Here will be listed all your saves on the cloud. Select a save game and then the 'Load' button to load your save.

You must have an active Internet connection to use the Cloud Save Settings.

How can I see if there is something going wrong with Cloud Saving or Syncing?

Please note that if the Steam client is just showing "0%", this is not indicative that there is something going wrong.

Unlike other Steam games, Football Manager Save Games can be quite large in file size.

Please be aware that this can take time, depending on the speed of your connection.

Upload speeds are generally slower than download speeds so please be patient if trying to sync a large number of files.

First enable the Workshop Logs

1) Navigate to the following folder:

Windows: C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2014\Preferences\version 103
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2014/Preferences/version 103
Linux: /home/.local/share/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2014/Preferences/version 103

2) Open the channel-WORKSHOP_CHANNEL.xml file with a text editing program (for example Notepad/TextEdit/gedit).

Change:

Code:
<boolean id="disa" value="true"/>
to

Code:
<boolean id="disa" value="false"/>
and Save the File.

Create a Shortcut for Steam with -dev -console options (Windows only)

- Locate Steam on your hard drive:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe - Right-Click -> Create Shortcut
- Right Click the Shortcut -> Properties
- Add "-dev -console" to the end of the TARGET.
- Make sure Steam is not running on your computer
- Run the Steam shortcut created above

Run Steam through Terminal with -dev -console options (Mac only)

- Open a Terminal window, and type the following:

cd '/Applications/Steam.app/Contents/MacOS'

- then type:

./Steam.sh -dev -console

Run Steam through Terminal with -dev -console options (Linux only)

- Open a Terminal window, and type the following:

cd '/usr/bin/'

- then type:

./steam -dev -console

Using the Steam Console

- Go to Console tab, and type:
"set_spew_level 4 4"
- Launch Football Manager
- Go back to Console and press enter a few times
- Go back to Football Manager
- Save to the Cloud and Exit the Game
- Football Manager should now start syncing
- After a few minutes, check computer 2.
- If File has not synced, copy information from the console into a new thread.

Possible things to try to prevent uploading and syncing failing

- Disable anti-virus and firewall and use Microsoft Security Essentials
- Check with your network administrator that a proxy is not in place (This may be a common problem for University internet connections, etc).
- Restart network connection and router and computers and try again

Sounds like you're still on the Beta. Enter the full activation key on Steam -> Games -> Activate a product on Steam.

Can I change back, or I don't have to?

You can - if you don't enter workshop again. If you do, it will crash again (checked!).

I will correct myself: steps for solving this problem are:

1. Change the name of the graphics folder.
2. Enter into steam workshop, in the game, downloads.
3. That will create some folders on your user folder (where you had 'graphics').
4. Move the 'graphics' folder into a new folder named 'steam workshop'.
5. Rename it originally, to 'graphics'.

That's all, you'll have all your graphics and you will be able to use steam workshop downloads.
