There're usually Coalition and Separatist routes, maybe try the other? Alternatively, try sending all the guards to sleep or give them something else to do, like run away from a flood (swim around the outside of the station and cut a nice hole just near them, once they've gone then swim inside and plug the hole). Maybe use a sacrificial assistant if you think they might get rough with you.
