Is there a mod to switch characters in multiplayer?

So in singleplayer you can control your entire crew but in multiplayer you can't which can be mildy annoying if you are playing as only 2 people, anyone know of a mod that helps with this?

Use the "setclientcharacter [player name] [character name]" command. It's not a cheat so it won't ruin your achievements or anything, but it does require admin privileges so if your friend wants to use it (without asking you to do it every time) you have to give him some admin privileges too.

Player name is your name, the character name is the character you want to take control of. Once you're done, you use the command again and the target character will be your main character.

Any idea if there's a way that can be done on the fly? Trying to type commands while ♥♥♥♥'s going down seems to be just asking to get eaten alive in this game...
