I tried adding a new building but it's not appearing in game
Is it possible to add buildings and not just edit existing ones ?
I used the Buildings.csv and buildings.def files
I created a new class definition for my building in the def file but using a copy of another building and just changing the class name
and i created all the values in the buildings.csv
in my mod , the mod works because other things i've added are working but the buildings are not appearing in game
What am i missing ?

I can only suggest to compare your work to mods that do change/add/merge buidings to find your issue easier and quicker. Maybe the one that changes sea districts.

There is also this mod that turned upgrades into buildings, so it appears possible.

Maybe that can provide you some insight.

Maybeeeee.....you didn't make a mistake in the scripting as such, but silly structure mishaps happened. I'd check first for overisght errors, like brackets wrong or missing, spelling mistakes, messed up file name, a single space too much etc

All those ineviatble facepalm errors that can happen.
Often easier and quicker to check than the core issue scripting and afterwards you know if it's worth to go mental about the actual modification content.

Happened to me too often to not verify that first now.
So, done now so far, as i can't practically help otheriwse.

PS:
You might need to add the building to districts.def..and maybe upgrades.def.
Just an idea looking through the Def folder.
Oh and you said "Buildings.csv", but it's buidlings.csv. Case sensitvity !
Not sure if it's the case here, but better safe than sorry. The type of mishaps i thought of.

Good luck

hey , yea , i already thought of that, i checked formatting and i also ment buildings.csv , the dictionary check changed it to a capital letter , and i also played around with the upgrades and districts , i'll take a look at the mod , maybe it will add a little light to the problem , thanks
