Game crash and Steam hang after this
I've been manually cleaning my ND maps folder from some old maps I've installed during contest and before it. I've deleted some BSP, NAV and RES files.

Now when I launch the game it shows me the usual window "Syncing workshop items..." and crashes on 2nd item. 2nd out of 7. Steam becomes unresponsive and have to be stopped from Task Manager in order to restart it.

Interesting that I was subscribed only to 5 maps in workshop and Game was syncing 7 items. I have unsubscribed from all maps in workshop but the Sync window still tries to sync 2 items out of 2 and crashes on 2nd.

I have deleted games local content together with the dedicated server and authoring tools to make a clean install. But this didn't help either.

Luckily I've deleted these files into recycle bin so I can restore them and fix this.
I have found the problem file and it is:
arena_metro.bsp

I don't see this map into workshop. Assume it was there but was removed for some reason and I'm still subscribed to it somehow. This is probably some Workshop bug because Steam gets frozen after game crash.

Solved.
I was wrong saying I unsubscribed from all maps. There were 2 hidden maps which I was subscribed to. I've found them in the list of subscribed items and unsubscribed. Now everything works fine and I've deleted unnecessary files from maps folder

Thanks for the info; We'll look into this.

Did you happen to notice any .dmp or .mdmp files in the game directory with a modified date of around of the time of crash?

No, there are no crash dump files.

It worked fine untill I subscribed to Roadwork map... Crashes again on Syncing workshop items, doesn't crash if I unsubscribe from Roadwork. Subscribing to Sandbrick works fine. Strange

We're going to have some better error-handling in the next update that should make that case unable to happen.
