Here are some answers:
>Could someone explain pickup count and Titan Spawn VO please?
Pickup count is the number of gears the core will drop when the Titan is killed. This only matters if you have multiple Titans in the fight (we'll probably change this at some point). The VO is for the voice over audio to play when the Titan spawns. We haven't actually included any in the game yet, though.
>Will we be able to use external tools to prepare work to submit to the Workshop
The in-game editors are actually the same tools used by our designers. No one but me (programmer) and occasionally the artists use the Unity editor for DRP related work. I do totally encourage you to play with Unity and those other programs, because you can do some really awesome stuff with them. They just won't be very useful for you in making DRP content (at the moment there are no plans to allow custom piece importing).
>At what point does it pay to go with a Unity pro license in your opinion
Don't bother getting a license unless you plan to make a commercial game and really need the special features (shadows, fancy rendering things, etc). The free version is pretty solid.
>For some reason when I go to edit a particular Titan, it is coming back as the download file is empty.
Darn, sorry about that! I've seen this occasionally, and I'm trying to track it down. I generally find that restarting the game (or Steam sometimes) fixes it
>Finally, would you consider adding a checkbox to re-enable weapons affecting child mod damage?
I think there's probably a better way for us to allow builders to make tough titans, so we probably won't put a checkbox for that in. It could get confusing when you don't know, as the player, if the weapons are going to affect the Titan's health or not. We're still experimenting here though, so there's no telling what way we'll go.
