I have the same problem. I have a suspicion that it's a version difference. But I don't know how to adjust the versions on the game to be able to use the DDDK and still be able to play.

Its a known problem that the tools shortcut doesn't work for anyone. You need to navigate to the folders and open it from in there: http://forums.trendyent.com/showthread.php?74552-Important-Information-regarding-the-DDDK-in-the-7.40-patch

**EDIT** for the time being, the DDDK must still be launched manually by running the DunDefTool.exe located in C:\Program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dungoen defenders\binaries . If you try to launch from steam you will get a "corrupt game files" error.

this helped me and got it up and running now :D

I'm having the same problem, but I don't know where to search for the DunDefTool.exe. where can I search for it it? (i.e. online, on steam, etc. etc.)

i phrased my question unclearly, sry about that. I mean how/where do you access c:\program files/steam/steamapps/common/dungeondefenders\binaries? I've looked online, on steam, in my computer files. I can't find it anywhere.
