Rant: Fix CS2 - Punish Cheaters HARDER & Tackle Ridiculous Skin Prices!
Rant: Fix CS2 - Punish Cheaters HARDER & Tackle Ridiculous Skin Prices!

Seriously, Valve, it's time for some real action on CS2's biggest cancers: weak anti-cheat punishment and a skin market completely detached from reality. Enough is enough!

1. Anti-Cheat: Hit Them Where It Hurts! (Way Harder!)
HWID Bans? Do it! Stop letting them just make a new account 5 minutes later. Ban the actual machine.
Prime Required? Make it MEAN something! Link it to a verified, unique phone number and a seriously beefed-up cost (like $30+). Raise the barrier to re-entry massively.
Escalating, Permanent Bans:
First offense? Maybe a long HWID ban (6+ months). Second strike? PERMANENT, HARDWARE-LEVEL BAN. No appeals. Gone.
Target the Cheat Devs/Sellers: Work with legal teams. Sue them into oblivion. Disrupt the supply chain. VACnet is cool, but it needs WAY sharper teeth backing it up.
Stop Protecting Cheaters' "Privacy" Over Honest Players' Experience:** If stronger kernel-level AC like Vanguard (Valorant) is needed to catch the sophisticated stuff, DO IT. The current "Trust Factor" lottery is a joke when cheats bypass it so easily.

The Goal: Make cheating in CS2 FINANCIALLY RUINOUS and LOGISTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to sustain. Right now, it's just a cheap, low-risk hobby for losers.

2. Skin Market: Curb the Insane Speculation & Gambling Influence!
Transaction Fees & Cooldowns:
Implement steep fees (5-10%?) on *every* marketplace transaction above a certain value. Add longer trade cooldowns** for high-value items (weeks or months). This kills rapid flipping and speculative bubbles.
Crack Down HARD on Gambling Sites: They are the **primary engine driving artificial scarcity and insane prices. Work with payment processors and authorities to shut them down. Their influence is toxic.
Transparency on Rarity: Be crystal clear about actual drop rates and item counts. Stop letting manipulation and mystery fuel the FOMO frenzy.
Focus on the GAME: It feels absurd that a **virtual knife** can cost more than a high-end gaming rig, a used car, or rent... while core issues like cheaters run rampant. **Prioritize gameplay integrity over casino economics.

The Goal: Make skins accessories for fun, not speculative assets or gambling chips. Detach their perceived "value" from the actual health and enjoyment of the game.

The Bottom Line:
Valve, you built an incredible competitive shooter. But right now, CS2 feels like a poorly policed casino where cheaters run the tables and the house takes no responsibility. The priorities feel upside down. Invest the massive
resources generated by the skin economy BACK INTO SECURING THE CORE GAME EXPERIENCE.

Punish cheaters like they personally insulted GabeN's sandals.
Reign in the wild west skin market before the bubble bursts and poisons the whole game.

We want to play CS: Counter-Strike, not CS: Cheater Simulator & Digital Stock Market. Fix it!

I see you also agree with what I said. I feel like the CS environment is growing worse, it's really bad. Let's call on Valve developers to take active action. All we want is to compete fairly, not to battle against cheaters.
