Greetings!

This is the first map that I have uploaded, and I hope you lot make the most of it.

Simplicity at its best. This map is a sandy desert that seems to go on over the horizon. The map is as large as the Source engine will allow and has a high skybox for you fliers out there. It includes a concrete bunker with two landing pads and a large microwave tower. There are two supplementary pads out in the desert for people who want a bit of flat land away from the central area. This map is good for wheeled vehicle suspension testing. This has been my private build/test map and I now give it to you.

Turn bloom off for building, and bloom on low for display and awesome looks.

Features:

1. Very large open desert map
2. Concrete bunker for privacy and protection
3. High 3D skybox for fliers
4. 2x Landing pads for VTOL/Heli/Planes
5. Sand dunes as far as the eye can see - suspension tests!
6. 2x Private pads away from centre area
7. Includes dust haze and desert ambient with adjusted bloom.

10. A Genuine Damocles Designs Production (what more could you want?)

Just paste the directory into your Addons folder.

If this map becomes popular enough, I will update it with more buildings and an underground area. The more popular, the farther the underground area will go!

I remember seeing a map in 2020 that had an exterior almost exactly like this, but the sand was grass. The building had 2 blue doors, and it had stairs that lead down to a hallway with cells. There were more stairs, that led down to this large room covered in dev textures and a pool in 1 room and more containment cells in the other. I for the life of me cannot remember the name, nor can I find it in the Workshop by using keywords that could possibly match. I very distinctly remember that this was my favorite map for a while, and for a long time, I would use it almost all day. I think it was either removed or simply hard to find.

The map is 11 years old, and has been downloaded a simply silly number of times. Sure, I get a few messages a year about missing textures, but it almost always comes down to people having mods that corrupt the older textures this map relies on. Failing that, re-mounting HL2 will always fixes any problems. Sorry dude, I can't help you, it is a rare bug, and if the usual fixes don't work, it is almost definitely something in your 4 pages of mods.

i have 4 pages of mods i have re downloaded gmod 6 times and the map nothing changed

Unfortunately, means that one of your mods has corrupted your texture folder. Try re-download of map, then re-download of Gmod.
