Dagger Mod for ACE

The Dagger Mod for ACE is a state-of-the art re-texture project and also a low cost, serious, long range, shooting simulator. I have been putting my heart, studies and expertise in this mod since around 2009 back in Arma 1.

To achieve the top realism level I wanted, I have built more than a hundred scope reticles from scratch, in a way that they could be used for range estimation. Then, I have used the excellent ACE Advanced Ballistics features, created by Ruthberg and his peers and created another hundred of ammunition types, all with real life ballistic coefficients, weights and etc. But, scopes and ammo alone don't shoot so, I have also created rifles featuring real life barrel lengths, twist and dispersions. And don't fool yourselves, access to real data on weapon dispersions is hard to obtain, but we have it. Whith those 3 things combined it is possible to add realistic muzzle velocities using SAAMI as the standard. So, technically, you could use the background to design new weapon systems and to predict their results. Theory aside, you can use your own ballistics software to predict in game bullet trajectory... but only if you are using Dagger Mod for ACE.

I also enjoy studying and unveiling the secret code behind camouflages so I have personally vectorized existing patterns and, from the lessons learned, I have created some new patterns of my own. The included camouflage patterns are: M81, ERDL, Urban ERDL, Tiger Stripes, MOUT, Olive Drab, Coyote, Police Black, Urban Grey, Cobra Blue, UCP, MARPAT, MARPAT Desert, CADPAT, NSU, OCP, AOR, many Multicams, NWU, DCU, US4CES 04, Brazilian Lizard, Flecktarn old and new, M84, Vz 95, M90, 2 Krypteks and 2 A-Tacs.

Please, do not rate the mod poorly just because it does not add the 3D models of the scopes or rifles you want. The real power of Dagger mod relies on functionality rather than the 3D appearance, which is still very good because it uses BI's models coming from the sample models. I have also acquired unique 3d models from digital artists and I have their express authorizations to use their models on this Arma 3 mod.
