Description
Have been testing with this beautiful mod lately: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1282696351

and realized the lights were too dim, so I pumped them up a bit. Tell me what you guys think!?

Note: In case you have other mods that change the global values of the game for lights, place this mod last in the load order!

Aw www. Well let's hope Kenshi 2 is more forgiving. Btw, your modding isn't bad, it improves my experience.

Also, after I posted all that it struck me that the BAR signs might not even contain any lighting effects right from the getgo.

@Sarge The lighting is very unstable in this game and most mods are tailored around what the devs intended the game to be since the modding tool is rather limited in nature. What you seek requires some hard codding and probably a way better modder than me.

Edit to my last, below:

I added the Larger Light Radius mod by @Mojojojo (after Lights for Dark Nights in load order) and it made quite a difference to some lights but unfortunately not to the bar signs which really should light up that wall a lot better and pierce the dark night and little to the downlights.

Not an ideal solution as adding another mod to address essentially the same issue reduces performance and increases instability, but heh.

I've only been playing for a little bit but for me the lighting isn't strong/vibrant enough. Is there a way I can tweak it myself? If not, you have my feedback.

Here you can see the torch radius is arguably too small but moreover, you can hardly even see the bar signs which are comprised of bare lightbulbs against the black of night. You should be able to see those from a mile away.

Here, outdoor downlights in front of the bar entrance and you can just about see the foot of the staircase, which is just about right next to the lights. Way too dim and the area way too small.

You can barely even make out any of the buildings due to the small and weak lighting.

Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, much nicer than vanilla, but it has the potential to look fantastic with a bit of tweaking.

emmanuelfrancois it's possible since the game engine is rather wanky and freaks out on its own code regardless of your pc resources.

It seems there's a compatiblity problem with expanded drugs - no idea whare it stems from as the mods touch two completely diffrents sets of effect. When i had teh two mods running, i had occasional freezes and crashes with RAM usage jumping to 100% (with 16 GB on the PC, that's quite a lot).
Might be linked wiith Holy Nation lights, as i had the problem around Rebirth and at the crossroad near the farm between Stack and Blister Hill

House Karling Sorry, but I haven't been playing this game for some time now. You can edit this mod in the FCK editor of the game, you simply need to move the mod from the steam mods to your steam kenshy folder mods. You even have an option to see all the modifications made in FCK without searching for them manually and you simply need to tweak a few values up or down to get the desired effects. I sadly do not have time to mod anymore due to real life work, but you should try it, it's easy and fun :) All the best to you!

Is it possible to get a slightly reduced strength version of this mod? I need brighter lights to deal with darker nights, but with my reshade settings I find at this level of brightness it tends to wash things out a little bit.

Timesplitter glad you like it :)
