I wonder, with this new mod, would it be possible to create a (big) patch of trees to be used as 'the midst of the forest' where the model is mostly just the canopy (maybe only basic triangular columns as — or even no — trunks) so as to make big forests especially at the borders of a map, while still going not-too-heavy on total tri counts? We could then place a whole bunch of these together and only place 'real' trees with full, lower growing foliage at the perimeter to hide the lack of detail inside these woods.
