Wow you actually responded. Thanks man for the help.
First, decompile any trees you want replaced.

Then, go into the .qc files for the trees you want to replace, and replace the $bodygroup file with an smd you've edited. Usually I'll edit 2 or 3 smd files and use them randomly to break up the monotony.

Recompile, check over your work in game, and fix any issues you find unsightly.
