Report a translation problem
Unfortunately I don't know how to make any custom models, and I hear it's a massive pain that isn't really worth it. I'm sorry to say I don't have any plans to do that.
That's a known issue. There are a few possible fixes. The first one is to idle in the mod menu for a few minutes - as maybe the game failed to unpack the packaged unit file into the mod folder. The second is to go to Documents/ My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/cache and delete the Civ5ModsDatabase.db file. Make sure you back up the entire Mods folder first. After that, idle in the mod menu again and let Civ V build a new database - it should unpack all mods that failed to unpack in the process.
Finally, if the mod wasn't downloaded despite subscribing, just try heading over to Steamworkshopdownloader.com and enter the link to both mods.
