What we aren't seeing since the Hotels&Retreats patch is cars stopping at the gas stations and using that gas up so that more trucks then turn up with a fresh supply. I used to love watching this happen.
So yes, it works partially and does no harm to your game or your city's economy, but you don't see everything it was designed to do.
I would really love to see somebody fix this one so that we can have the fun of watching real gas stations at work in our cities.
You can also test it: type 5086 as construction cost in the asset details (with Customize It Extended mod) and it becomes a petrol station, but it is not going to act as a petrol station.
I also will test it.
