Description
A micro-controller, designed to be used either by itself with the Pitch Attitude Controller or with my Autopilot System, that will attempt to maintain a set climb/descent rate. This device comes with a toggle button to enable the vertical speed autopilot, a keypad to set the desired vertical speed, and a dial that displays the current angle of attack for your aircraft. The micro-controller has a property value that allows you to set the max pitch angle the controller can request. This is useful for preventing a stall in case the set vertical speed is too high. This controller can be placed on any fixed wing aircraft and does not require tuning.

Setup:
- To place this device in your aircraft, use the Selection Grid tool in the Stormworks vehicle editor to load this device into your vehicle. You can use the arrows to drag the device around and place it anywhere on your vehicle.
- The vertical speed autopilot includes two linear speed sensors that can be placed anywhere on your aircraft. However, these speed sensors must not be rotated or the vertical speed autopilot will behave unexpectedly.
- All other blocks can be moved and rotated in any way you like.
- The included dial labelled "Angle of Attack" is not required and can be safely removed.

Operation:
To use the vertical speed climb autopilot, first enter the selected vertical speed into the desired vertical speed keypad. If you are using this vertical speed controller with the Autopilot Controller, you should always use a positive value. If you are using the vertical speed controller by itself, you must either enter a positive value for a climb, or a negative value for a descent. Once you have entered your desired vertical speed, press the toggle button to activate the vertical speed climb/descent. You can change the desired vertical speed while the controller is still active.
