Landscaping Planners

Description
This adds 3 new terrain planning tools which are based on Equinox's rails mod. These can be used, in conjunction with Soil Graders (a separate mod), to create beautifully sloped terrain without using the finicky landscape stakes or voxel hands.

INCLUDED TOOLS:
• Level Terrain Planner - For perfectly flat areas
• 40 Degree Terrain Planner - Up to a 40 degree grade
• 90 Degree Terran Planner - Up to a 90 degree grade

The Level Terrain Planner can be found in the “G” menu. The 40 & 90 Degree Terrain Planners need to be crafted in the spinning wheel just the like bendy rail planner from the rails mod. When placed, they will look like the beginning build stage of rails (stick frames). There is no additional hammering required - they will not build into actual rails. Use the rails hammer to disassemble them. These also have a shorter minimum build distance compared to standard rails - 3 meters min and 30 meters max.

TO USE - Level Terrain Planner:
• Find the planner in the “G” menu.
• Place the planner over the area you wish to flatten. You may need to use multiple sections to cover your area.
• Use the appropriate Soil Grader tool (Dirt, Stone or Sand) to raise or lower the terrain to the level of the planner.
• Remove the planner when finished!

TO USE - 40 & 90 Degree Terrain Planner:
• If you haven’t already, craft the appropriate planner in the spinning wheel.
• The planner works like the bendy rail planner - click to set your start point, move to your ending location and click again to set your end point.
• Once you have set your start point and moved to a new location, you can click the middle mouse button to display the distance and grade before placing your end point. This comes in handy as it allows you to adjust before placing your end point.
• Use the appropriate Soil Grader tool (Dirt, Stone or Sand) to raise or lower the terrain to the level of the planner.
• Remove the planner when finished!

The landscaping in ME gave me such a headache with all those pesky holes while filling up soil, but this mod really fixes that all. Thanks man!

Very cool. A "creative" version like the rails mod has would be nice to speed up city builds though. This is great, it just takes forever on creative mode builds where everything else is fast :lunar2020confidentrooster:

@Malum1971, thanks, I figured it out, but forgot to report here. For others, you need to use hammer from railroad mod. Don't know if it is included with this mod if used as standalone mod.

Have you tried to remove it with a normal hammer ? I don't remember witch one but as I recall one of the normal rails also need a regular hammer to be torn down while the other normal rails need the "railtool" to be torn down...

Stupid question, but how to remove planner when finished ? Say right click to remove but that does nothing while have planner equiped. It remove section only if I started planner, but once I close planner tool, finished work with Grader tool, I don't have option to remove planner.

Do I need some other tool to remove it or my game is bugged ?

While I was using railroad mod, I found that it may be very useful to have similar tools for creating ordinary roads. An come across this one by accident, just before starting to ask if someone is willing to create something like this.

Thanks a lot for this mod.

yeah did not go 100 the way Equinox has the fill functions defined goes pretty deep something i am looking into is less fill and using the level tool to rotate on all axis so you can use it to smooth cavern walls and such.
