Description
ALPHA RELEASE

WHITE PHOSPHOR - NO ACE

BIS Forum: https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/224102-white-phosphor-nods-nvgs/

This mod upgrades all NODs (NVGs) with white phosphor technology tubes.

There's nothing to setup, it works automatically with all night vision devices (vanilla and addon). There's a CBA setting listed under "White Phosphor" - this is so servers can whitelist the addon but individual users can disable it if desired.

This mod requires CBA_A3 only and is intended for use without ACE. For the ACE version: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1792394837

The mod has been tested in SP and on dedicated.

This mod is in Alpha release. Right now this overwrites the green hue of vehicle screens. I'll be developing more stringent code to detect these cases so that the white phosphor effect is only activated at appropriate times.

Credits and Thanks:
-Thanks to CoNaNRedd on Reddit for helping getting the code working!

For anyone who would like to see different color settings, please check out my NOD Colorize Addon - it gives you full control over the color of your NODs: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1807445586

sAgittarius: I'll check out these settings, thanks for posting! I'm currently neck deep in two new addons and I'll try to get to this as soon as I'm clear of those two. Would you mind posting these settings on the NOD Colorize page so other folks can try them out as well?

My settings in your "NOD Colorize":

Contrast: 1.050
Contrast Offset -0.015

Blend color - default

Colorize color:

Green 0.95
Blue 1.0
White 0.0

Desaturate color:

Hello Mr. Fat Lurch.

Yesterday I downloaded your addon "NOD Colorize". It is great! Today I tried to create some settings of WP.
first of all, my video settings in the Arma3:
Brightness 1.0
Gamma 0.8
I use this settings because the game offers to set the values so that the cross is not visible, and the check mark is barely visible.

My settings in your "NOD Colorize":
Brightness 1.025
Contrast: 1.500
Contrast Offset -0.050

Blend color - default

Colorize color:
Red 0.30
Green 0.90
Blue 1.0
White 0.0

Desaturate color - default

Сould you check it please? I think it looks more realistic.

I made another addon, NOD Colorize, which allows you to tweak the filter settings I used in White Phosphor. If you're able to find a set of settings that has more contrast without looking "weird" I'd be more than willing to make that the new baseline for this addon. Like I said, I hadn't had any luck getting anything better.

sAgittarius: I agree - real WP tubes have greater contrast. Unfortunately this is the best I was able to get out of the engine in my testing.

I like this addon. But I think that image is very light. It is not real. Sir, could you add more contrast? I have experience with work nvg wp in real life and I know how it looks. Thank you! Good luck.
