Screaming Steel: 1914-1918 Workshop Collection

Description
France, April 1918

"I made my way to the next trench. The place was swarming with British soldiers - the sight was almost like witnessing a sinking ship. Some of them threw eggs at us, some of them fired their revolvers, but most of them simply ran away. Now, we had the upper hand. I kept pulling the trigger in a dreamlike state despite already having ran out of ammunition. The man next to me hurled grenades at the fleeing soldiers. A bowl-shaped steel helmet went spinning into the air. The entire ordeal was over in less than a minute."

Supports Offensive, Invasion, Liberation and Frontline in PvP.
Stronghold, Raid and Entrenchment in co-op.

Disclaimer: This map is intended to be used with the "Screaming Steel: 1914-1918" WW1 total conversion mod. It will NOT function correctly if you try launching it with vanilla game settings.

A special thanks goes out to 'radu' for donating his map El Guettar for us to modify and use for the mod.

Is this map a remade version of Al-Guettar?

Sadly there isnt an easy way to inform people of this, other than spreading the word in various channels. It's out of our control, and not a fault of the map.

"A recent issue regarding how the Workshop functions with Source engine games has been brought to our attention. If you get an error regarding conflicting or differing files upon entering a server running Screaming Steel it is likely you already have Screaming Steel files locally, but you're not manually subscribed to the workshop items - this happens when you've joined a server running the mod in the past where the items were automatically downloaded upon joining.

This apparently causes issues whenever an update to the workshop items are pushed, as Steam will not automatically update workshop items downloaded from servers, resulting in file conflicts when trying to join a server running the updated files. If you've faced this issue, or if you know someone who does we recommend you manually subscribe to our workshop collection:

Something went wrong last update aug 3? My clients are reporting map differs from server. I've solved this myself by deleting and redownloading but trying to explain this to my clients is pain. What happened?
